The Best 5G Laptops;
Apple’s current MacBook Air is not ready for 5G. The current MacBook Air does not support the 5G spectrum, and the latest Intel processors don’t either. The current Air doesn’t meet the new USB Type-C standards for 5G. Both of those factors could cause problems with current devices using Intel chips.
If Apple is going to release a new MacBook Air in the near future,
It makes sense for Apple to focus on the current MacBook Pro range as that has already adopted the newer USB Type-C standard. Apple also has its fingers in many more technologies than just USB Type-C.
Intel may be waiting for Intel’s 8th-gen processor chips before introducing its 5G laptop.
5G chips for laptops are yet to be released and the first commercial 5G mobile network networks won’t launch until 2020. Still, Apple wants to be at the forefront of this new tech, and it does have the technology for it.

Microsoft’s Upcoming Laptop;
Microsoft has also announced that it’s planning to release a 5G laptop, but it’s a laptop you’ll have to wait a while to buy. Microsoft said the new laptop would have a high-resolution display, but we haven’t heard any specific details about the laptop yet.
Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 2 does not support 5G. However, the Surface Laptop does support Wi-Fi 5 (WiGig). Microsoft has been keen on updating the Surface Laptop range with new features. It recently introduced new 4K displays to the range.
Microsoft has also launched new versions of its Surface Laptop with 8th-generation Intel processors. Although, the newer Surface Laptop does not support 5G.
5G Laptops Coming to Verizon;
Verizon is launching a 5G mobile network in the US. You’ll be able to access the 5G network as soon as November in several cities including Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas and Indianapolis. You’ll be able to use your 5G laptop to stream 4K videos and download 4K video.
At this time, no 5G laptop has been announced for Verizon.
Still, there are plenty of laptops that can be used on Verizon’s 5G network. Some of the laptops on Verizon’s 5G network include the Samsung 5G Smartphone and the Lenovo 5G Laptop, such as laptops from Dell, HP, Acer, Asus and Toshiba also support 5G.
Verizon’s 5G laptop is expected to have a high-resolution display and support the 5G network. It may also have a fingerprint reader.
Still, we wouldn’t be surprised if Verizon’s 5G laptop could come with a number of other new features such as a higher resolution display and new processors.
Intel’s 5G Laptop;
Intel’s 5G laptop may appear later than other laptops as it does not yet have a price or release date. Intel is also testing a number of laptops for 5G.
Intel has released four 5G laptop chips. They’re called Whiskey Lake, Amber Lake, Cherry Trail Plus and Silvermont Plus. The only chip that we know of at the moment that supports 5G is the Intel 5G Core X5100 5G Processor.
Most laptops we see at the moment use Intel’s low-power Celeron and Atom processors. Intel’s 5G Core X5100 does not support 5G yet, but we expect to see it on Intel’s 5G laptop later in the year.
Laptop Computers With 5G Hardware;
It’s a no-brainer that a 5G laptop has a 5G modem and 5G chips to support 5G networks. Intel says it’s working with a number of hardware partners including Nvidia, Qualcomm, Nvidia and Samsung.
Nvidia is planning to launch new laptops with 5G chips soon. Samsung is working with both Qualcomm and Intel on 5G laptops, as well as releasing 5G laptops.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 is also in laptops that support 5G. It’s in the Lenovo 5G Laptop and the Asus 5G Laptop. The Asus 5G laptop also has Intel’s 5G Core X5100 processor, but it also has a 5G modem.
Both laptops have a 5G-ready display, which means it has a 5G-ready 5G CPU and 5G-ready 5G modem to support 5G networks. The 5G Core X5100 chip on both the Asus 5G Laptop and Lenovo 5G Laptop support 5G, but they don’t support 5G networking. Still, Qualcomm’s new 5G chipsets support 5G networks and you can use 5G networking with those laptops.
