Valley of Flowers can be easily accessed by air. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 132 km away from the valley.

Treks in valley of flowers Uttarakhand
There are many trekking routes in the Valley of Flowers National Park. One can take a short or long trek, depending on their fitness level and time available.
The shortest trek is from Govindghat to Ghangaria (10 km) which takes about four hours. The longest trek is from Hemkund Sahib to Govindghat via Valley of Flowers and Ghangaria (47 km), which takes about four days.
Some of the popular treks in the Valley of Flowers National Park are:
- Govindghat to Ghangaria (6 km) – This is a very popular trek that takes about three hours to complete. One can leave their extra essentials at this spot to have low burden treckking above mountains.
- Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (3 km) and back – This is a very popular trek that takes about two hours to complete. This treck do have snacks spot to rejenuvate your stomach.
- Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (13 km) and back – This is a moderately difficult trek that takes about six hours to complete. It has lake and surrounded by Misty mountains.It is also famous sikh gurudwara spot.
- Hemkund Sahib to Govindghat via Valley of Flowers and Ghangaria (47 km) – This is a difficult trek that takes about four days to complete.
